Centre Philosophy
Our Curriculum
At Coastal Kids Early Learning Centre, our philosophy is rooted in the Early Years Learning Framework, guiding us through play-based learning, inclusivity, and cultural appreciation.
We believe play is the most powerful foundation for learning. Through play, children explore their world, develop vital social skills, and build cognitive abilities. Our curriculum provides rich, open-ended experiences that inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Music is also an essential part of our daily practices. Children and educators come together each day to dance, sing, and enjoy music, offering joyful opportunities for self-expression and connection.
Our Team
Our passionate educators are dedicated to creating a nurturing, engaging environment where every child feels valued and supported. With a strong focus on nature and sustainability, our team fosters curiosity, investigation, and environmental stewardship from an early age. Our educators pride themselves on building enduring bonds with children and families.
Our Community
At Coastal Kids, diversity is at the heart of our centre. We embrace and celebrate the rich variety of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences within our community, ensuring that every child feels respected, included, and supported. We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn and play. We honour the cultural heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and integrate Indigenous perspectives into our programs.
Our educators and families work together to build strong connections within the wider community, ensuring that children develop a sense of belonging and appreciation for the world around them.
Our Commitment to Child Safety
Child safety and wellbeing are at the centre of all that we do. We are committed to providing a secure, inclusive environment where every child is protected, respected, and empowered to thrive.
Through reflective practice, adherence to the National Quality Framework, and embedding Child Safe Standards, we ensure that our service remains a safe and supportive space for children and their families.
Our Families
Families are partners in every aspect of our program. We place great importance on building strong, collaborative relationships through open communication and meaningful engagement.
Parents and carers are valued and involved in every step of their child’s journey, and the connections built often extend well beyond a child’s time at Coastal Kids. Together, we nurture happy, resilient children who are supported in their learning, wellbeing, and future success.
